Last year I checked a box off my bucket list and spoke to an audience of eager, beautiful, enthusiastic college students at the New York Women in Communications meet-up at NYU. I adored connecting with the next generation of journalists, bloggers and techies by answering questions and giving practical life advice, and have enjoyed speaking similarly to classes at NYU, Pace University, The New School and CUNY, as well as leading a community fellowship at The Huffington Post.
I have also had the pleasure of speaking to audience at New York Social Media Week about blogging platforms, SXSW on social and community high-end strategy, New Media Expo’s TBEX on building community and growing your reader base, and Book Expo America, with Liz Gilbert and Wally Lamb, on reading communities, among others.
Similarly, I’ve had the opportunity to speak to large corporations about blogging and social strategy, and best practices for employee social behaviours inside and outside of the cubicle.
If you’d benefit from slideshows about social media metrics, user retention and funny cats, let’s grab a tea together.
