Traveling the Silk Road at AMNH

After my last post about AMNH, they were nice enough to send me some info on a few upcoming events. One that really caught my eye was Traveling the Silk Road, a brand-new exhibit detailing the “greatest traderoute of ancient times.”

This exhibit will be featuring live silkworms, camel models, star trackers, and market replica- and I’ll be live microblogging it today via Tumblr and Twitter.

While I’m an enormous NYC museum lover and am simply thrilled to enjoy this exhibit, I’m also ecstatic because I’ve always been fascinated with history. Whenever I travel someplace I’m enthralled with the markets and ships but the landmarks are what stand out to me; and my overly active imagination waxes poetic on who used to roam the exact same streets long before I was born.

Thanks for putting me in those shoes, AMNH!
