Stock Your Brooklyn Kitchen at Whisk

Betty and I can’t remember who saw Whisk first. Either her love of gadgets or my love of the storefront architecture lured us into this tiny Bedford Ave shop, but once inside, it was love all around.

Set up like what we imagine a tiny English countryside culinary shop would, Whisk is stocked with baskets and bowls full of every kitchen and cooking item imaginable. A wall of amazing quality pans caught my eye, while Betty salivated over tiny, precious prep bowls. A nook toward the back of the store (past the single cootie cutters and gourmet cookbooks) is called The Pantry and houses singular silverware; a favorite way to mix up a matchy-matchy table. You can also pick up top-tier cutlery, tableware in all shapes and sizes, aprons, cast iron cookware, and much more.

Before heading over to Whisk, be sure to browse their website, listed below, and check their blog for upcoming cooking demonstrations and classes, as well as new lines to appear in the shop. You can also watch a short video clip featuring the shop owners, two area locals whose love for their items can’t help but set you off to the kitchen with pots, pans, and egg poaching tools, alike.

Whisk. 231 Bedford Ave, Brooklyn.
