Photo Essay: New York Crossing & a Flickr Tribute
Whenever I need to get away but can’t leave the city, I scan through the great photographers on Flickr and escape mentally. I never had the best photog chops, so it’s a thrill for me to look through the amazing pictures and live vicariously through these doubly talented people.
The other day I got to scanning around New York photos and was so pleased with what I saw. This city has a way of inspiring people to see it from new angles, with different colors and shades, and through many sets of eyes. Though many of these have spent time as my desktop wallpaper, bookmarked, and forwarded to loved ones, I think the great public should share in the art created by some of my favorite local (and visiting) photographers.
Below you can find my favorite New York bridge photos from Flickr- a tribute to this great city and the great people who are inspired by it.
