When you’re hosting a wedding away from home, it’s tempting to forgo the typical white gown for a more casual option. However, even in warmer climates, brides tend to look back and long for even just one shot in the traditional garb. The best solution to this is the reception dress. Part party, part walk down the aisle, it’s an option that’s become more and more popular as of late.

Below you can find a few unique choices to swap after ripping off your chiffon gown.

Does this old guy have anything to say about wedding dresses? Sure. On an annual basis I may host 40 to 50 brides for their honeymoon. Each time have I have to report in detail to my DW how the wedding dress looked. The BCBGMAXAZRIA Strapless Appliqué Dress gets my vote!

White or off white? Many guests wear very off white or muslin colored bridesmaid dresses, which is absolutely fine for any wedding. Historically, guests wore “THEIR” best bridesmaid dress to the wedding, and the color wasn’t dictated by anyone. Now, if it a frilly, lacey white-white dress, that is a different story all together! So many things are dependent on culture anyway.
