No Place is More Important than Home

This morning I broke the news via Twitter that Domino magazine might be closing shop. I know a few wonderful people at Conde and beyond who have confirmed this fear, so today, we say a sad goodbye to Domino and it’s website.
Though we are sincerely very sad to see Domino go after a really bad 24 hours of magazine closings, many of their wonderful bloggers live on in great ways. Here’s where to find them:
Scrappy Girl Catherine Halley can be found decorating her Chi-town “eyesore” here. I think it’s an adorable apartment, Catherine!
Fashion Insider Rita Konig can be spied in a video series here.
The adorable Grace Bonney can, as always, be found on her wonderful website, design*sponge; for an added bonus, please check out my New Orleans guide on design*sponge.
Guest Blogger Courtney Barnes‘ blog, Style Court, is still at full force.
Be sure to check up on sleek and chic design advice on Remodelista.
Stylish and totally gorgeous Holly Becker can still be read at Decor8 blog.

This is so sweet, thank you for the nice words!!!
so sad.
Good to know, marm.

When traveling, it's important to consider all types of accommodations. There are several European hostels whose resemblance is closer to a hotel than a hostel, or think about booking a room at an inn or timeshare rental where you always wanted to explore. You can often garner a resort vacation with none of the usual commitment or expense and in exquisite and exotic locations. Timeshare adventures run the gamut from beach front in Goa to Eco-resorts in the rainforest.
