You’re Goin’ to Disney World!

It’s no secret that I’m an enormous fan of the Disney Corporation. Their marketing chops, severely talented stars, and upbeat attitude alone are enviable, let alone the fact that theme park sales remain stable despite the economic status.
But if you’re planning your first trip to Disney World, much like Superbowl Sunday’s MVP, there are a few things you’ll wanna know. Below, check out the top five insider blogs everyone should read before heading off to the House of Mouse.
1. 2719 Hyperion: Though this site concentrates more on the artwork of Walt’s era, it’s a great spot for daydreaming as well as picking up a historic tid bit, or two.
2. DIS Unplugged: Chock full of several different types of media, this site will give you an eyeful and earful. Check out the podcasts for a unique and direct look at the World.
3. The Disney Blog: A mecca for info on Disney and even ABC, pick up to-the-minute info from stock options to new rides to the latest Pixar flick on this delightful blog.
4. Jim Hill Media: Often controversial and sometimes questionable in his breaking news, Jim Hill always presents a unique spin on the latest news from Mickey and his cohorts.
5. The Laughing Place: This fun website is a must-see for anyone making the rounds at any Disney park, from California to Tokyo. Read informative articles and opinion pieces, or even meal reviews from WDW restaurants.
BONUS: WDW Magic: This message board heavy site is 90% user-generated content, which is bad because you have to hear out the opinions you sometimes don’t need to hear, but good because posters occasionally list current park show hours, weather conditions, and line comments. Be sure to check out the hotel and food reviews before booking your trip!
