The Next Next: The New Hottest Travel Spots
Gambling in Vegas? Runway shows in Paris? BBQ in Memphis? Been there, done that. Why not try a new city that is slowly making it’s way up the charts as a destination to be reckoned with?
The Next Vegas… MONACO
Take one part Vegas, and toss out the flashy boobs, screaming college kids, and those pens with the women who take their clothes off when you flip ‘em. Now, add old world classiness, European sophistication, and happy inhabitants who don’t pay for taxes or cable TV- what do you have? You’ve got Monaco. With world class gambling, restaurants, and cruise ports, who needs magicians and glitter when you’ve got a slot machine with an ocean view?
The Next Paris… MILAN
You might have placed Milan on your must-see list for a number of reasons: cute boys, great gelato, wonderful art. But, as of 2009, you can put fashion at the top of these reasons. With American magazine editors jetting off to the boot, and an economy striving from clothing design, Milan has secured it’s spot above Paris, and even New York, as the new fashion capitol of the world.
The Next Memphis… WALT DISNEY WORLD
Okay, WDW is not a country, but have you tried the dining plan? Whether you’re tasting beers around the world at EPCOT, experiencing child-free kitchen dining at Victoria & Albert’s, Disney should be a stop for any true foodie. Even Food Network and Travel Channel favorites Cat Cora and Samantha Brown list WDW as a major eating spot, Cora going as far as to open a new restaurant in a major Disney resort area. Still think it’s all mice and fairy dust? Check out Disney’s dining plan which allows you to sample 5-star restaurants for a menial price– and don’t leave without spying the wine list at Artist’s Point!
The Next Seattle… BRUSSELS
Music, art, and DIY, Seattle has held it’s ground for many years, but it may be time for a change. Blazing a social media path with a great website, fan tweets, and a buzzing Facebook fan page, Brussels and it’s art festivals are a force to be reckoned with. All you need to do to see why is stop by the Atomium, mid-century sculpture site of the 1958 World’s Fair, or do a Tin Tin spying walk through the cobblestone streets — that little fella has been hiding on Belgian walls for over 100 years!
The Next Bahamas… OKINAWA
With a fairly inexpensive price tag and close proximity to major US cities, the Bahamas has been a staple getaway for many the run down, over tired, and beach-needing city dweller. Okinawa runs a similar history. With a sub-tropical temperate and close distance to top locations in Japan, who wouldn’t want an exotic beach getaway, complete with California Roll?
The Next New York City… MONTREAL
Want it all? Want it now? Hop off that subway and charter your jet to Montreal. With heavy sophisticated French influence, plenty of amazing eats, and shopping for days, Canada’s finest is approaching it’s spotlight. Day & weekend trips to nearing cities and ski destinations included, you could spend a week- or a year!- learning all there is to know from savvy insiders and locals, who have been waiting for the world to see what they see. More French humour, less French attitude is why we love Montreal.

Why do we sing “Take Me Out to the Ball Game” when we are already there?
