2. Coco Beach
Cocoa Beach, the closest sandy oasis to Orlando, about an hour’s drive east, has been referred to as the quintessential beach town. This beach offers an array of activities, whether it be a lazy day basking in the white sand, checking out the legendary Ron Jon Surf Shop or taking an amazing Eco-tour to make a more personal acquaintance with Florida’s awe-inspiring wildlife. 5. Key West
While some choose to fly to this tropical paradise, the drive down can only prepair you for the beauty in store once you’ve reached the farthest point in Florida. It’s here that the real estate titles date back to the Kings of Spain and landmarks document where pirates passed through, making many of the establishments part of your journey on a ghost tour. You can also gaze at the fabled treasure of the galleon Atocha, test your diving skills by exploring sunken ships or take in the scenery with a dinner at sunset, which is when the sun shines the brightest.
I would add Clearwater Beach! At least when it isn’t too busy
Or Caladesi Island
Depending on what one looks for in a beach, Sanibel/Captiva and Marco islands are great for shelling/romance/sunsets/relaxing, and i feel that you missed a great one in Hollywood Beach with it’s paved beachside broadwalk, friendly mom and pop accomodations, dining, and entertaiment… Check out my video blog website to see it up close http://www.lifesacoast.com
