On Friday we’re driving to Washington DC , the land of Lincoln and Cherry Blossoms! Lola is a huge fan of our nation’s capitol and has gathered some restaurant and activity recommendations from some fellow magazine editors and friends, alike. By the time you read our next blog entry, we should actually be stuffed into a car, headed south on I-95, for our weekend of wine bars, Smithsonians, and pink flowers as far as the eye can see.

While everyone else has contributed to hotel, recommendations, and transportation, I’m adding my two-cents with the soundtrack of our stay. For the car ride down, I’ve created a special playlist to both lull us out of the busy workweek craziness and amp us for some Capitol City fun. Look below for a few favorites and be sure to click the link to hear the entire playlist.

Favorites:

David Bowie: Suffragette City

Mambo Sauce: Welcome to DC

Fall Out Boy: Arms Race

Listen to these choices and see a few more at our Playlist central.
