Hey! Thanks for visiting! I’m Annemarie. Let me tell you a little about me…

I’m from New York City; I grew up in Brooklyn. My family came here from Italy, and I loved having backyard vegetable gardens, and playing bocce. I became an orphan during college, which jolted me awake to realize that life is short, and there’s no time like now.

I’ve done some awesome stuff: I was the first person in my family to attend college. I Met Dr. Jane Goodall. Created a Twitter Trending Topic and taught a celebrity how to Twitpic. Helped organize a major event at one of the world’s top museums. I’ve worked in the hallowed halls of Conde Nast, Meredith, and Hearst (waiting for your call Hachette…). Purchased my first home at 21. My second at 23. I (just barely) climbed a mountain in Africa, as a guest of the government of Rwanda.

I’ve also done some silly stuff: Twittered my experience after a bank robbery and had to crawl through bushes to evade reporters at my house. Now Gawker has a tag of my name. I was arrested in Prague for incorrect subway ticket. I *live* digital and devote entirely too much time to Facebook, Foursquare, Tumblr, Twitter, and YouTube.

What do I do now?

My passion is content strategy. As a writer, I know that content will always be important, but how you present it is important, as well. Content is everywhere, from social platform updates, to location-based service applications (Foursquare, Gowalla, Pegshot, etc), to multimedia on Flickr and YouTube. I’ve spoken and moderated panels like New York Social Media Roundtable and #TBEX to help others figure out best use these assets. On the day-to-day, I assist independent and boutique companies with web branding, creating enthusiasts, and community management. Feel free to message me if this is something you’ve been thinking about lately.

I also write. You can find me nearly weekly in Time Out New York, as well as regularly in the Huffington Post World and Travel sections. You can also find me at Urlesque every day.

I love to guest blog, too. Here are a few of my favorites:

Please feel free to reach out. I love meeting new people.
